I have a $600 that I bought a little over two years ago. It is broken & the repairs will cost $200-250.
My options are:
A) Spend the $200-250. Get the repairs.
B) Buy a new $600 PC Laptop that would be way nicer than my original, but still kind of crappy.
C) Buy a Refurbished Mac for $900, & have to buy it on credit. But be really happy, but IN DEBT.
D) Not have a laptop in my room, meaning I have to go to the computer lab to get online & not have music.

What kind of Mac? And how close are you to an Apple store?
A unless you don't care about using the computer lab for everything, then D.
Credit cards suck bad.
I think you should have gotten your sister to give you the $600 I gave her (that she didn't want) when you were in NYC. You know I love the Mac. E-mail your mother.
Walter, I'm a 25 minute bus ride away from an Apple store. Which is pretty dang close. I have to buy the refurbished Macbook online though.

Mom, I'm pretty sure Aubrey needed that money to survive.
I say go for it! I got my MacBook Pro refurbished, 'cause it was the cheapest way to get one. A genius at the Apple Store told me that on refurbished machines, Apple doesn't just fix a broken part in it - they disassemble the whole thing and rebuild it, ensuring each part works. They even put a new serial number on it, so it's practically a new machine. And with 90 days parts & labor, and a year on parts, it's easy to get anything fixed if it goes wrong.
The reason I asked if you were near an Apple Store was because Apples quality assurance - BEFORE their products hit the stores - has gone way downhill. They ship out a lot of stuff that has problems - iPhones, iPods, displays and Macs. I had to take my machine into the genius bar 5 or 6 times before it was finally working. After talking with other people, I found this wasn't uncommon.
The good news is that the geniuses really know what they're doing, and they're helpful and will fix whatever's wrong.
P.S. If you buy upgrades like RAM or hard drive, buy them from somewhere else. Apple jacks up the price way too much. Newegg.com is pretty good.
im down for that ridiculous blog, for sure
also.
don't buy the mac
(debt+mac) = lose lose
but then again im a conservative
P.S.S.
Didn't see the credit part. Don't buy on credit unless you can pay it back soon, otherwise it negates the discount you'd be getting by buying refurbished!
did g srsly mail you an ipod? maybe u could sell the ipod and put the money towards the laptop?
IMPOSTOOF.
OKAY BADASS CONCLUSION.
MY MOM IS GOING OT HELP ME PAY FOR IT & I WILL GET THE MAC WITH NO DEBT.
LOOK FORWARD TO A COUPLE VLOGS SOON.
(hopefully within a week)
Fred said he'll give you his discount, if you want it (15%) & you can get a new Macbook for about the same price. I'll give you $300 for it, so you won't be in debt & Macs are awesome. Fred said if you get a PC it'll break in a week.
i have a macbook, the same one as your refurbished one! i got a $1000 loan so i could get it, ridiculous? no way, jose.
